Perry Brink founder of Brink's in 1859

It was Perry Brink who originally started the secure transport business in the United States. Perry Brink initially set up the company in Chicago in 1859, and it rapidly expanded to cover the whole of America.

The Pittston Company, founded in 1830, bought the company in 1956. The Pittston Group listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 1930 became known as The Brink's Company in 2003.

1961, Set up in France

To serve the French government and the banking industry, Brink's began to operate in France in 1961. In order to address the specific features of the French market, the group made use of two subsidiaries of the Compagnie de Navigation Mixte, Fichet Bauche, the leading player in security at that time then Via GTI, a company specializing in passenger transport.

Brink's, prepared for the challenges to come

In 1993, the group acquired SGI Valeurs followed by Sécuribanque, the third largest company for the transport of funds in France.

In 1998, thirty-seven years after its contribution in the creation of Brink's France, Brink's, Incorporated, now an international group took over the whole of the Compagnie de Navigation Mixte and, under the chairmanship of Jean-Michel Houry, developed a dynamic sales policy : diversification of service offerings, exploration of new market niches such as ATM management.

Since its creation through dialogue and partnership, Brink's France has helped to develop the security of banking systems and that of the distribution networks.
